What experience do I need to become a The Flood Team damage restoration franchise owner?

We acknowledge that franchise candidates with a background in water restoration or home services will have less of a learning curve getting started, but general business management experience, enthusiasm for the industry, and a willingness to be trained and certified make this opportunity an option for many. We offer start-up, conversion, and add-on franchise models for qualified candidates.

What is provided as part of The Flood Team franchise opportunity?

We will provide a comprehensive pre-opening training program for lead generation, administrative support and our complete Job Management System. Training will be provided both through a headquarters-based pre-opening class, as well as on-site in franchisees’ territories. Business owners will have 24/7 live online support, a live call center, and access to The Flood Team chat channel. In addition, The Flood Team Marketing Guide includes information on best practices and more to help promote your business.

How much will The Flood Team franchise investment cost me?

The total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $106,050 to $126,250 including the trailer and basic equipment. This includes a $20,000 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.

Is financing available?

No. We do not provide direct financing to franchisees, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.

Are there ongoing fees to pay?

We charge a royalty fee equal to 10% of gross revenues. There are also technology fees for access to our software and for website management; for a complete list of fees, please refer to our FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document). These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product and supply channels, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to spend 10% of gross revenues each month on local marketing (this amount is subject to quarterly increases, in increments of 1%, up to a maximum of 18%). Franchisees will also contribute 2% of gross revenue toward a system-wide brand development fund. Collected funds will be used to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote The Flood Team brand and fund the costs for local marketing materials and campaigns.

What is the term of the agreement?

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with one subsequent renewal term of ten years.
